Among these thriving communities, the \u201cToh Ngiem\u201d family\u2014ancestors of the Wongsa-ngiam lineage\u2014perfected their secret recipe for Masaman curry powder and curry powder, known for their rich aroma and deep flavors. Initially, the family produced these spice blends for small-scale sharing within the local community. However, as more traveling chefs and vendors discovered and fell in love with the distinct, well-balanced flavors, demand grew.\nAs customers increased, the family decided to officially package their curry powders under the O. Wongsa-ngiam brand, making them available at Warit Shop in the community, as well as at S. Wongsa-ngiam, a bookstore specializing in Islamic literature and Muslim attire, also run by their extended family.
