OWN THE STORY
Three Rabbits Tea
A historic tea house in Pak Klong Talat, beloved by provincial market wholesalers.
Back when Pak Klong Talat was Bangkok’s largest wholesale hub for fruits and vegetables, the market’s trade wasn’t just about fresh produce. Tea was a staple—an essential drink after meals, a must-have for merchants, and a daily ritual for temple monks, brewed in clay teapots by young novices.
Founded by Sim Sae-Ong, Sam Kratai Tea House was known for sourcing premium tea leaves from China, sold under the name Lee Chun. Alongside its signature Three Rabbits brand, another memorable tea from the past was Phra Phuttha Yodfa Bridge Tea—a name that carried a story of its own. When asked why the Bridge Tea brand came to be, the third-generation successor explained: Ah Gong set up the tea house in Pak Khlong Talat, but the storage and packaging facility was across the river in Khlong San. The daily crossing back and forth over Phra Phuttha Yodfa Bridge eventually inspired the name of what became one of their most well-known tea brands.
Whether it’s a heritage tea brand or the modernized packaging developed by its next-generation heirs, one thing remains unchanged—the tea must always be "Jia Gam Gam"—rich, full-bodied, and smooth with every sip.
